Apple A19 GPU (5-core)

8 GB LPDDR5X-8533 · 64-bit · 640 cores

The 5-core GPU of the Apple A19, introduced in the iPhone 17 in September 2025. Apple says it is more than twice as fast as the A15 Bionic GPU, and each core includes a Neural Accelerator for running generative AI models on device. The iPhone 17e uses a version with four GPU cores.

Notes
A Neural Accelerator in every GPU core speeds up the matrix operations used by generative AI models, and the GPU supports FP16, BF16 and INT8 compute through Metal. Hardware ray tracing is supported; Apple does not publish a separate ray-tracing unit count. The 16-core Neural Engine is a separate block on the SoC.
