Apple M5 Max GPU (40-core)

128 GB LPDDR5X · 5,120 cores

The M5 Max GPU is the 40-core integrated graphics processor of Apple's M5 Max, introduced in March 2026 in the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro and in September 2026 in the Mac Studio. M5 Max uses Apple's Fusion Architecture to join two 3 nm dies into one SoC, and every GPU core includes a Neural Accelerator, giving over four times the peak GPU compute for AI of the previous generation. The 40-core version has 614 GB/s of memory bandwidth with 48 GB to 128 GB of unified memory, while a 32-core version offers 460 GB/s.
