Notes
Windows 11 is out of reach: Merom is far below the 8th-generation floor on Microsoft's supported-processor list and the platform offers no TPM 2.0 or Secure Boot. Windows 10 and mainstream Linux distributions still install, because they target the x86-64 baseline, but the CPU lacks SSE4.1, SSE4.2 and POPCNT, so any software built for x86-64-v2 or newer will not run. ChromeOS Flex does not cover hardware of this era.
