Intel Core 2 Duo U7700

2C/2T · 10 W

The Core 2 Duo U7700 is the fastest ultra-low-voltage model of the 65 nm Merom generation, launched in December 2007 at 289 USD for ultraportable notebooks. Two cores run at 1.33 GHz with 2 MB of shared L2 cache on a 533 MT/s front-side bus, all within a 10 W envelope. It was first offered for the Santa Rosa-era Socket M platform and in February 2008 also in a Socket P version.

Notes
Windows 11 is out of reach: the chip is far below the 8th-generation floor on Microsoft's supported-processor list, and version 24H2 and later also require the SSE4.2 and POPCNT instructions it lacks. Windows 10 and the mainstream Linux distributions still install, because they target the baseline x86-64 instruction set. ChromeOS Flex does not cover hardware of this era.
