The Core 2 Duo E4500 is a budget Allendale dual-core for LGA 775 desktops, released in 2007 on the M0 stepping. It runs at 2.20 GHz on an 800 MHz front-side bus with 2 MB of shared L2 cache in a 65 W TDP. The low front-side bus left plenty of room for overclocking on mainstream chipsets, but like the rest of the E4000 series it omits Intel VT-x.

Notes: Windows 11 is out of reach: the chip is far below the 8th-generation floor on Microsoft's supported-processor list and its platforms offer no TPM 2.0 or Secure Boot. Windows 10 and the mainstream Linux distributions still install, because they are built for the x86-64 baseline, but the CPU has no SSE4.2 or POPCNT, so any software that requires x86-64-v2 or newer will not run.
