Apple M5 Pro

18C/18T

The M5 Pro was announced in March 2026 for the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro and later added to the Mac mini in September 2026. Like the M5 Max, it uses Apple's Fusion Architecture, which joins two third-generation 3 nm dies into a single chip. Instead of efficiency cores, its CPU combines six super cores for single-threaded speed with 12 new performance cores tuned for power-efficient multithreading, and every GPU core includes a Neural Accelerator for AI work. Each Thunderbolt 5 port has its own on-chip controller. A binned version has 15 CPU cores (5 super and 10 performance) and a 16-core GPU.

Notes
macOS 26 (Tahoe) and later. Windows runs only inside a virtual machine such as Parallels. Asahi Linux does not support the M3 generation or later, so no mainstream Linux distribution runs natively; ChromeOS is not supported. Apple does not publish clock speeds or TDP figures.
