Apple A12X Bionic

8C/8T · 2.5 GHz

The Apple A12X Bionic, introduced on October 30, 2018 with the third-generation iPad Pro, is the tablet version of the A12 Bionic built on TSMC's 7 nm process with 10 billion transistors. It doubles the A12's performance cores to four Vortex cores at up to 2.49 GHz alongside four Tempest efficiency cores, and pairs them with a seven-core Apple-designed GPU and the 8-core Neural Engine rated at 5 trillion operations per second. The iPad Pro came with 4 GB of LPDDR4X memory, or 6 GB in the 1 TB configurations.

Notes
The A12X Bionic runs Apple iPadOS only. The third-generation iPad Pro (11-inch and 12.9-inch) launched with iOS 12 and is supported through iPadOS 26; Apple does not list it as compatible with iPadOS 27. The chip was never used in a Mac and does not run macOS, Windows or desktop Linux distributions.
