AMD Ryzen Embedded 8840U

8C/16T · 5.1 GHz · 15 W

Eight-core, low-power model of the Ryzen Embedded 8000 Series, which AMD launched on 2 April 2024 to bring an integrated NPU to industrial edge systems. It pairs eight Zen 4 cores with 12-CU RDNA 3 graphics in a 15-30 W range, giving fanless machine-vision and automation designs up to 39 TOPS of combined AI performance. ECC DDR5 memory, up to four 4K displays and up to 10 years of planned availability round out the platform.

Notes
AMD states that the Ryzen Embedded 8000 Series supports Windows, and its AI software stack targets Windows. Microsoft's Windows 11 25H2 supported-processor list covers the Ryzen 8000 Series, which uses the same Hawk Point silicon, and 24H2, 25H2 and 26H2 share the same hardware requirements. AMD does not publish Windows 10 or Linux support for these embedded parts.
