MediaTek Genio 500

8C/8T · 2.0 GHz

Mid-range platform in MediaTek's Genio IoT family, originally sold as the AIoT i500, for smart-home, retail, commercial and industrial devices that need touchscreens, multiple cameras and light visual AI. A dual-core Cadence Vision P6 VPU running at 525 MHz handles tasks such as face recognition and object identification, and the internal ISP supports sensors up to 32 MP with a multi-camera framework. It drives FHD+ displays, handles 1080p30 video, uses the MT6631 companion chip for dual-band Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0, and suits fanless enclosure designs.
