Intel Core i7-4558U

2C/4T · 3.3 GHz · 28 W

The Intel Core i7-4558U is a dual-core, four-thread 4th Generation (Haswell) mobile processor manufactured on a 22nm process. It runs at a 2.80GHz base clock with Turbo Boost up to 3.30GHz, includes a 4MB L3 cache, and integrates Intel Iris Graphics 5100. Its 28W TDP and FCBGA1168 package placed it in higher-performance ultrabooks and all-in-one systems. Unlike most Haswell U-series SKUs, this model supports only DDR3L memory, without an LPDDR3 option.

Notes
Windows 10 runs on these processors, but Windows 11 requires 8th Gen Intel Core or newer, so 24H2, 25H2 and 26H2 are unsupported. Haswell implements SSE4.2 and AVX2 and therefore meets the x86-64-v3 baseline that current Ubuntu, Fedora and Arch builds assume. Machines of this era are supported by ChromeOS Flex.
