The Intel Core i3-2348M is a dual-core Sandy Bridge processor from Intel's 2nd Generation Core lineup, launched in the first quarter of 2013 for the Laptop segment, a later budget-oriented release of the same Sandy Bridge silicon used in the Core i3-2350M roughly a year and a half earlier. Its 2 cores support Hyper-Threading for 4 threads, running at a 2.30 GHz base clock with no Turbo Boost, backed by 3 MB of Intel Smart Cache within a 35 W thermal envelope. Manufactured on Intel's 32 nm process in the PPGA988 package, it pairs Intel HD Graphics 3000 with dual-channel DDR3-1066/1333 memory supporting up to 16 GB, and does not support ECC memory. It implements Intel's 256-bit AVX instruction set alongside SSE4.1/4.2, but does not include AES-NI. Positioned as an entry-level mobile chip, it targeted budget laptops needing basic dual-core performance.
