Apple M3 Ultra

32C/32T · 4.0 GHz

The M3 Ultra combines two M3 Max dies through Apple's UltraFusion interconnect, with 2.5 TB/s between the dies and 184 billion transistors in total. Announced in March 2025 for the Mac Studio, more than a year after the M3 Max, it added Thunderbolt 5 and up to 512 GB of unified memory, enough to run very large language models on device. It came with either a 28-core CPU (20 performance and 8 efficiency cores) and 60-core GPU, or a 32-core CPU and 80-core GPU.

Notes
macOS 14 (Sonoma) and later. Windows runs only inside a virtual machine such as Parallels. Asahi Linux does not yet support the M3 generation, so no mainstream Linux distribution runs natively; ChromeOS is not supported. Apple does not publish base clocks or TDP figures.
