Apple M1

8C/8T · 3.2 GHz

The M1 is Apple's first system-on-chip designed for the Mac, announced in November 2020 with the MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro and Mac mini as the start of the transition away from Intel processors. It combines CPU, GPU, Neural Engine and unified memory in a single package built on TSMC's 5 nm process with 16 billion transistors. Apple sold it with either a seven- or an eight-core GPU, and it later moved into the 24-inch iMac, iPad Pro and iPad Air.
