Apple A18 Pro

6C/6T · 4.0 GHz

The Apple A18 Pro was introduced on September 9, 2024 with the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Built on second-generation 3 nm technology with 20 billion transistors, it has two performance cores at up to 4.04 GHz and four efficiency cores with larger caches than the A18, a 6-core GPU with faster hardware ray tracing, a 16-core Neural Engine and a USB 3 controller. In March 2026 Apple also used it in the MacBook Neo, the first retail Mac powered by an A-series chip, in a version with a 5-core GPU, 8 GB of unified memory and 60 GB/s of memory bandwidth.

Notes
The A18 Pro runs iOS in the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, which Apple lists as compatible with iOS 27, and macOS in the MacBook Neo, which shipped with macOS Tahoe. Windows runs only inside virtual machines on Apple silicon Macs, and desktop Linux distributions do not support the chip.
