Apple A11 Bionic

6C/6T · 2.4 GHz

The Apple A11 Bionic, introduced on September 12, 2017 with the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X, is a six-core system-on-chip built on TSMC's 10 nm FinFET process with 4.3 billion transistors. It pairs two high-performance Monsoon cores at up to 2.39 GHz with four efficient Mistral cores, and its second-generation performance controller lets all six cores run at once. It was the first Apple chip with an Apple-designed three-core GPU and the first with a Neural Engine, rated at up to 600 billion operations per second, which powers Face ID and Animoji on the iPhone X.
