AMD Ryzen AI Embedded X188

12C/24T · 5.0 GHz · 55 W

The AMD Ryzen AI Embedded X188 is a 12-core, 24-thread embedded processor built on the Zen 5 architecture (codename Strix Halo), part of AMD's Ryzen AI Embedded X100 series launched on July 23, 2026 for robotics and industrial edge-AI systems. Cores run at a 3.2 GHz base clock and boost to 5.0 GHz behind 64 MB of L3 cache, inside a 55 W nominal envelope that is configurable from 45 W to 120 W. An integrated Radeon 8050S-class RDNA 3.5 GPU with 32 compute units (up to 2.8 GHz) and an AMD XDNA 2 NPU rated at up to 50 TOPS give the chip a combined AI performance target aimed at physical-AI and robotics workloads. The processor supports up to 128 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 memory with ECC and 16 lanes of PCIe Gen4 connectivity, and AMD documents a Linux-based software ecosystem for the platform, with a 10-year availability commitment for embedded customers.
