AMD Radeon R9 M470X

4 GB GDDR5 · 128-bit · 896 cores

The Radeon R9 M470X was the top model in AMD's OEM-only Radeon R9 M400 notebook line, introduced in May 2016 for mainstream gaming laptops. Despite arriving alongside the Polaris-based RX 400 cards, it uses the older second-generation GCN Strato XT die rather than new 14 nm silicon, and sits just above the Radeon R9 M470.

Notes
GCN 2 has no matrix or AI accelerator and no packed FP16 arithmetic. Machine-learning work runs on the ordinary FP32 shader path through OpenCL; double precision is available at 1/16 of the FP32 rate.
