AMD Radeon RX 6550M

4 GB GDDR6 · 64-bit · 1,024 cores

An entry-level laptop GPU from AMD's Radeon RX 6000M series, launched in January 2023 as a faster version of the RX 6500M. It uses the RDNA 2 Navi 24 chip built on TSMC's 6 nm process with 16 compute units, 16 ray accelerators and 16 MB of Infinity Cache, paired with 4 GB of 18 Gbps GDDR6. Aimed at 1080p gaming in thin-and-light notebooks, it supports H.264 and HEVC hardware decoding but has no hardware video encoder or AV1 decoder.
