Samsung Exynos 1480

8C/8T · 2.8 GHz

The Samsung Exynos 1480 is a mid-range 5G smartphone chip introduced in early 2024 with the Galaxy A55 5G. It was the first mid-range Exynos to use an AMD RDNA-based GPU, the Samsung Xclipse 530, which Samsung rates as 53% faster than the GPU of the Exynos 1380. Built on a 4 nm EUV process, it runs four Arm Cortex-A78 cores at 2.75 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores, and its NPU is roughly four times faster than its predecessor's. The integrated modem supports sub-6 GHz and mmWave 5G at up to 5.1 Gbps, along with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
