Qualcomm Snapdragon Cockpit Elite (SA8797P)

Snapdragon Cockpit Elite is Qualcomm's flagship digital cockpit platform, announced at Snapdragon Summit in October 2024 and the first automotive chip with the custom Qualcomm Oryon CPU. Qualcomm targets about three times the CPU and GPU performance of its previous flagship cockpit platform and up to twelve times the AI performance from a dedicated NPU for multimodal in-car assistants. A safe hypervisor runs the instrument cluster and infotainment systems side by side, and the platform is designed for ASIL-D safety systems. The same SA8797P silicon is offered as Snapdragon Ride Elite; the Leapmotor D19 was the first production car to use two of these chips, one for the cockpit and one for driver assistance.
