MediaTek MT2621

1C/1T

Announced by MediaTek on November 24, 2017 as the industry's first dual-mode IoT system-on-chip combining NB-IoT Release 14 with GSM/GPRS connectivity, so devices can use existing 2G networks as well as newer NB-IoT networks and make voice calls. A single SIM and antenna cover both networks with dual standby, and an integrated wideband front-end module supports ultra-low, low and mid bands worldwide. It is built around a single ARM7 microcontroller core with 160 KB of system RAM and 4 MB of pseudo-static RAM, and adds Bluetooth 4.2 plus audio and video peripheral interfaces for wearables such as fitness trackers, security sensors, smart meters and industrial devices.
