MediaTek Genio 720

8C/8T · 2.6 GHz

Higher-performance sibling of the Genio 520, unveiled by MediaTek at Embedded World on March 11, 2025 as a generative-AI-capable IoT platform. Built on TSMC's 6 nm process, it runs two Cortex-A78 cores at up to 2.6 GHz (2.4 GHz in the industrial grade) and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz, with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU at 1.1 GHz and an 8th-generation MediaTek NPU delivering 9 TOPS, or 10 TOPS for the whole system. It supports LPDDR4X-4266 up to 8 GB or LPDDR5X-6400 up to 16 GB, a single ultra-wide 5K60 display, and is pin-to-pin compatible with the Genio 520 and Genio 420.
