Intel Core Duo U2400

2C/2T · 9 W

The Intel Core Duo U2400 is an ultra-low-voltage dual-core notebook processor from Intel's first Core generation, introduced in 2006 on the 65 nm Yonah design. Its two cores run at 1.06 GHz and share 2 MB of L2 cache over a 533 MT/s front-side bus within a 9 W thermal envelope, making it one of the most frugal chips of the Centrino Duo era and a common choice for ultraportable and tablet PCs. It is soldered to the mainboard in a 479-ball package and has no integrated graphics. Yonah is a 32-bit design without Intel 64, which limits it to 32-bit operating systems.

Notes
Yonah has no Intel 64 support, so only 32-bit operating systems can be installed. Windows 10 (32-bit) is the newest Windows release that will run; Windows 11 requires a 64-bit processor. Ubuntu, Fedora and Arch Linux have all dropped 32-bit x86 installation media, so current releases of those distributions cannot be installed.
