The Intel Core 2 Duo T5600 is one of the first Core 2 Duo notebook processors, launched in August 2006 at $241 with the 65 nm Merom design. It runs at 1.83 GHz on a 667 MT/s front-side bus with 2 MB of shared L2 cache and a 34 W TDP, and was offered as a socketed Socket M chip and as a 479-ball BGA package. Early units used the full Merom die (B2 stepping), while later ones used the smaller Merom-2M die (L2 stepping). Unlike most other T5000-series models, it supports Intel VT-x virtualization.
