Intel Core Duo T2700

2C/2T · 31 W

The Intel Core Duo T2700 is the fastest model of Intel's first-generation Core Duo line, added quietly in June 2006 as the last Yonah-based standard-voltage part. Its two cores run at a fixed 2.33 GHz on a 667 MT/s front-side bus and share 2 MB of L2 cache. It was offered both as a Socket M (PPGA478) chip and as a 479-ball BGA package, and has no integrated graphics, leaving display output to the chipset. Being a 32-bit Yonah design, it lacks Intel 64 and cannot run 64-bit operating systems; it was soon succeeded by the Core 2 Duo (Merom).

Notes
Yonah has no Intel 64 support, so only 32-bit operating systems can be installed. Windows 10 (32-bit) is the newest Windows release that will run; Windows 11 requires a 64-bit processor. Ubuntu, Fedora and Arch Linux have all dropped 32-bit x86 installation media, so current releases of those distributions cannot be installed.
