Intel Core Duo T2050

2C/2T · 31 W

The Intel Core Duo T2050 is the slowest dual-core model of the first Core Duo generation, introduced in May 2006 at $140 for low-cost notebooks using a 533 MT/s front-side bus. Its two Yonah cores run at 1.6 GHz and share 2 MB of L2 cache, within a 31 W envelope in the Socket M package. It does not support Intel VT-x. As a 65 nm design without Intel 64, it is limited to 32-bit operating systems.

Notes
Yonah has no Intel 64 support, so only 32-bit operating systems can be installed. Windows 10 (32-bit) is the newest Windows release that will run; Windows 11 requires a 64-bit processor. Ubuntu, Fedora and Arch Linux have all dropped 32-bit x86 installation media, so current releases of those distributions cannot be installed.
