Intel Core 2 Solo SU3300

1C/1T · 6 W

The Core 2 Solo SU3300 is a single-core ultra-low-voltage processor built on Intel's 45 nm Penryn design, released in 2008 at 262 USD for ultra-thin notebooks. Rated at 5.5 W, it pairs one core with 3 MB of L2 cache on an 800 MT/s front-side bus and comes in a compact 22 x 22 mm BGA package. Memory and PCI Express are handled by the companion chipset rather than the processor.

Notes
Not supported by Windows 11: version 24H2 and later require the POPCNT and SSE4.2 instructions, which Penryn (SSE4.1) does not have. Windows 10 runs, as do Ubuntu, Fedora and Arch Linux, which still target the baseline x86-64 (v1) ISA. Not a supported ChromeOS Flex platform.
