Intel Core 2 Duo SL9300

2C/2T · 17 W

The Core 2 Duo SL9300 is a low-voltage 45 nm Penryn laptop processor launched in September 2008 at 284 USD. It belongs to Intel's small-form-factor line, whose 22 x 22 mm package was designed for thin and light notebooks, and combines two 1.6 GHz cores with 6 MB of shared L2 cache and a 1066 MT/s front-side bus within a 17 W envelope. It supports Intel VT-x virtualization and Trusted Execution Technology.

Notes
Windows 11 is out of reach: the chip is far below the 8th-generation floor on Microsoft's supported-processor list, and version 24H2 and later also require the SSE4.2 and POPCNT instructions it lacks. Windows 10 and the mainstream Linux distributions still install, because they target the baseline x86-64 instruction set. ChromeOS Flex does not cover hardware of this era.
