The Core 2 Quad Q9000 is a quad-core notebook processor that Intel introduced in December 2008 at 348 USD as a lower-cost alternative to the Core 2 Quad Q9100. Like the Q9100 it places two 45 nm Penryn dual-core dies in one Socket P package, but only 3 MB of L2 cache is enabled on each die, and it runs at 2.0 GHz on a 1066 MHz front-side bus within 45 W. It supports Intel VT-x and Trusted Execution Technology and was used mainly in large desktop-replacement laptops.
