Intel Core i9-11980HK Processor

8C/16T · 5.0 GHz · 45 W

Unlocked flagship of Intel's 11th Gen Tiger Lake-H laptop processors, launched in May 2021 for high-end gaming laptops and mobile workstations. Its eight Willow Cove cores with Hyper-Threading run at 2.6 GHz base at 45 W and up to 5.0 GHz, and laptop makers can raise the power to 65 W for a 3.3 GHz base clock. The HK suffix marks it as the only overclockable model in the series, and its 20 PCIe 4.0 lanes let a GeForce RTX 30 GPU and a PCIe 4.0 SSD connect directly to the CPU.

Notes
Microsoft lists 11th Gen Intel Core processors as supported for Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2, and Windows 10 is supported as well. Microsoft has not published a separate processor list for Windows 11 26H2, so the 25H2 status is carried over. Mainstream Linux distributions and ChromeOS Flex are supported.
