Intel Core i7-8557U

4C/8T · 4.5 GHz · 15 W

The Core i7-8557U is a quad-core 15 W laptop processor from Intel's 8th Generation Coffee Lake-U family, released in the third quarter of 2019. It pairs four Hyper-Threaded cores with Intel Iris Plus Graphics 645 and 128 MB of on-package eDRAM, which acts as a fast cache for the integrated GPU. Apple used it in the 13-inch MacBook Pro with two Thunderbolt 3 ports introduced in July 2019, where it was offered as the upgrade over the Core i5-8257U.
