Intel Celeron 5205U

2C/2T · 15 W

The Intel Celeron 5205U is the entry-level dual-core of Intel's 10th-generation Comet Lake-U family for thin and light laptops, arriving in late 2019 after the Core i3, i5 and i7 models announced that August. It omits Hyper-Threading and Turbo Boost and runs at a fixed 1.9 GHz, and it powered budget Windows notebooks as well as Chromebooks such as the Acer Chromebook 712. It was followed in 2020 by the faster Celeron 5305U.

Notes
Covered by Microsoft's Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2 supported-processor lists (Celeron 5000 series); 26H2 keeps the same hardware requirements. Windows 10 and mainstream Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Fedora and Arch are supported. It lacks AVX, so it does not meet the x86-64-v3 level.
