Intel Celeron 3205U

2C/2T · 15 W

The Intel Celeron 3205U is the entry-level dual-core processor of Intel's 5th-generation Broadwell family, the first built on a 14 nm process, introduced in January 2015. Compared with the Core i3 models it gives up Hyper-Threading, Turbo Boost, AVX and AES-NI. It powered budget Windows laptops as well as Chromebooks such as the Acer C740 and Acer Chromebook 15, and was followed in mid-2015 by the slightly faster Celeron 3215U.

Notes
Shipped with Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 in budget laptops and with ChromeOS in Chromebooks. It is not on Microsoft's Windows 11 supported-processor lists for 24H2 or 25H2, and 26H2 keeps the same requirements, so Windows 10 is the newest supported Windows release. It lacks AVX and therefore does not meet the x86-64-v3 level, but mainstream Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Fedora and Arch still target baseline x86-64 and run on it.
