Intel Atom x5-Z8500

4C/4T · 2.2 GHz · 2 W

The Intel Atom x5-Z8500 is a mid-range member of the Cherry Trail family, Intel's first 14 nm Atom generation for tablets, announced at MWC in March 2015. Unlike the entry x5-Z8300 it uses dual-channel LPDDR3 memory, giving its Gen8 graphics more bandwidth, and it appeared in Windows and Android tablets and convertibles.

Notes
Shipped in Windows 10 and Android tablets; many Windows devices use 32-bit UEFI firmware. It is not on Microsoft's Windows 11 supported-processor lists for 24H2 or 25H2, and 26H2 keeps the same requirements, so Windows 10 is the newest supported Windows release. Mainstream Linux distributions run on it, although device support varies by tablet.
