12C/24T · 5.0 GHz · 45 W

The AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 392 is a twelve-core Strix Halo processor announced at CES on January 5, 2026, with systems arriving from the first quarter of 2026. It has two Zen 5 chiplets with twelve cores (3.2 GHz base, up to 5.0 GHz) and 64 MB of L3 cache, combined with the full 40-CU Radeon 8060S graphics, unlike the Ryzen AI Max 390 which uses the 32-CU Radeon 8050S. Its XDNA 2 NPU is rated at 50 TOPS, for up to 122 TOPS of total AI performance, and its 256-bit LPDDR5X interface supports up to 128 GB of unified memory. Its default TDP is 55 W, configurable from 45 to 120 W.

Notes
AMD lists Windows 11 64-bit, RHEL and Ubuntu support, but not Windows 10. Ryzen AI Max systems ship with Windows 11 24H2 or later, Microsoft's Windows 11 25H2 supported-processor list names the Ryzen AI Max 300 Series, and 26H2 keeps the 25H2 requirements. Fedora and Arch Linux run on mainline kernels, and ChromeOS Flex installs on generic 64-bit x86 hardware.
