AMD Ryzen 5 125

4C/8T · 4.5 GHz · 15 W

The AMD Ryzen 5 125 is a quad-core, eight-thread laptop processor that AMD added to its Ryzen 100 Series in June 2026 for entry-level notebooks. Unlike the earlier Zen 3+ members of the series, it is built on the Zen 4 Hawk Point design, with cores boosting up to 4.5 GHz, 8 MB of L3 cache and four-CU Radeon 740M graphics on TSMC's 4 nm process. It has no NPU. Its default TDP is 28 W, configurable from 15 to 40 W.

Notes
Microsoft's Windows 11 24H2 supported-processor list predates the Ryzen 100 Series and does not name it, while the 25H2 list names the Ryzen 100 Series; 26H2 keeps the same hardware requirements. AMD also lists Windows 10, RHEL and Ubuntu support, and Fedora and Arch run on Zen 4 without restriction.
