AMD Ryzen 5 1500X

4C/8T · 3.7 GHz · 65 W

The AMD Ryzen 5 1500X is a quad-core desktop processor from the first-generation Ryzen 1000 family (Summit Ridge), released on 11 April 2017 as one of the parts that brought the Zen microarchitecture to the mainstream desktop. It pairs four cores with simultaneous multithreading for eight threads, clocking at 3.5 GHz base and 3.7 GHz boost, with Extended Frequency Range (XFR) lifting the single-core ceiling to 3.9 GHz on adequate cooling. Cache totals 384 KB L1, 2 MB L2 and a large 16 MB L3, and the chip is built on GlobalFoundries 14 nm (14LPP) FinFET within a 65 W TDP. It uses the AM4 socket with a dual-channel DDR4-2667 memory controller and PCI Express 3.0, has no integrated graphics, and ships with a fully unlocked multiplier plus a Wraith Spire cooler.
