AMD Embedded R-Series RX-421ND

4C/4T · 3.4 GHz · 12 W

Headless quad-core model of AMD's Merlin Falcon Embedded R-Series, announced in October 2015. It keeps the RX-421BD's two Excavator modules, 2.1 to 3.4 GHz clocks and 12 to 35 W configurable TDP but has no integrated graphics, for embedded systems that need CPU performance without display output. DDR4-2400 or DDR3-2133 memory with ECC, the AMD Secure Processor and ten years of supply longevity are carried over from the rest of the family.

Notes
AMD lists Windows 7, Windows Embedded 7 and 8 Standard, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 for the Embedded R-Series, along with its open-source Linux driver and Mentor Embedded Linux. The Excavator-based processor is not on Microsoft's Windows 11 24H2 or 25H2 supported-processor lists, and Windows 11 26H2 keeps the same hardware requirements. Mainline Linux supports the platform, so mainstream distributions such as Ubuntu, Fedora and Arch run on it.
