NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Max-Q

8 GB GDDR5X · 256-bit · 2,560 cores

The GeForce GTX 1080 Max-Q is the efficiency-tuned version of the notebook GTX 1080, launched on June 27, 2017 with the first Max-Q gaming laptops such as the ASUS ROG Zephyrus GX501. It keeps the fully enabled GP104 chip but runs at lower clocks (1,101-1,290 MHz base) within a 90-110 W power limit instead of the 150 W of the standard notebook part, bringing GTX 1080-class graphics to laptops under 20 mm thick.
