Intel Iris Plus Graphics 645

384 cores

Iris Plus Graphics 645 is the 48-EU Gen9.5 (GT3e) integrated GPU of the Core i5-8257U and Core i7-8557U, 15 W Coffee Lake processors introduced in 2019 and used in the entry-level 13-inch MacBook Pro with two Thunderbolt 3 ports. It is backed by 128 MB of eDRAM that serves as an extra cache for the graphics and CPU cores, and its maximum clock is 1.05 GHz with the i5-8257U and 1.15 GHz with the i7-8557U.

Notes
Gen9.5 execution units support native FP16 arithmetic but include no matrix or XMX units. The DP4a INT8 dot-product instruction only arrived with Xe-LP, so inference runs on the general-purpose execution units through OpenCL or oneAPI.
