AMD Radeon R6 Graphics (Carrizo, 6 CU)

384 cores

The Radeon R6 is the mid-tier integrated GPU of AMD's Carrizo APU platform, launched in June 2015 for mainstream laptops. It has six GCN 3 compute units (384 stream processors) running at up to 720 MHz in the A8-8600P and PRO A8-8600B and up to 800 MHz in the A10-8700P and PRO A10-8700B, and it shares the system's DDR3 memory. Carrizo added full hardware HEVC decode, and its GPU supports AMD's Heterogeneous System Architecture for sharing memory with the CPU cores. In AMD's later Bristol Ridge laptop APUs, the equivalent 6-CU configuration is branded Radeon R5.
