The Zhaoxin KaiXian KX-U6980S is the eight-core model of the KX-6900 series, a first-quarter 2025 refresh of the LuJiaZui platform that raises memory support to DDR4-3200 and adds SM2 acceleration to the SM3 and SM4 cryptographic instructions. Its eight cores run at 2.8 GHz with 8 MB of L2 cache, and the single-chip SoC integrates C-960 graphics, 16 PCIe 3.0 lanes, SATA and USB 3.1. It targets desktops, all-in-ones, laptops and embedded systems for the Chinese market.

Zhaoxin publishes graphics drivers for Windows 10 (64-bit), Ubuntu 20.04 and Chinese Linux distributions such as UOS and Kylin, and also offers a Windows 11 graphics driver. However, Zhaoxin processors do not appear on Microsoft's Windows 11 supported-processor lists, which cover only AMD, Intel and Qualcomm, so Windows 11 is not officially supported by Microsoft. macOS is not supported.
