Qualcomm QCS405

4C/4T · 1.4 GHz

Upper-tier QCS400 smart audio SoC announced by Qualcomm in March 2019, aimed at soundbars and smart speakers with screens. It adds an Adreno 306 GPU for on-screen menus and simple displays, plus the Qualcomm AI Engine on one of its two Hexagon DSPs for on-device voice processing. Audio post-processing scales to 32 channels with up to 12-channel output, alongside Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and aptX Adaptive support. Qualcomm now lists it as not recommended for new designs.
