Qualcomm QCM4290

8C/8T · 2.0 GHz

The Qualcomm QCM4290 is a mid-tier IoT application processor built on an 11 nm process for industrial and commercial embedded devices such as handheld terminals, security panels and security cameras. Its octa-core Qualcomm Kryo 260 CPU is clocked from 1.8 up to 2.0 GHz and is paired with an Adreno 610 GPU running at 950 MHz with support for OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenCL 2.0 and Vulkan 1.1. A Hexagon 683 compute DSP with dual Hexagon Vector eXtensions at 1.0 GHz provides the 3rd generation Qualcomm AI Engine for on-device inference. The QCM4290 adds an integrated 6th generation LTE multimode modem, which is what distinguishes it from the otherwise identical QCS4290, and offers Wi-Fi 6-ready connectivity through the Qualcomm FastConnect 6100 system, dual-channel LPDDR4X or LPDDR3 memory, a triple ISP camera pipeline and 1080p60 video encode and decode. It is pin-to-pin compatible with the QCM2290 and is covered by the Qualcomm IoT product longevity program through September 2027.
