MediaTek MT7683

4C/4T

The MediaTek MT7683 is a quad-core Arm Cortex-A7 SoC for IoT gateways and media routers, announced in June 2015 together with the MT7623 and available from the third quarter of 2015. It shares the MT7623's 1.3 GHz CPU with dynamic voltage and frequency scaling, Bluetooth 4.1 with BLE, hardware NAT, QoS and SFQ engines and a 1 Gbps VPN crypto engine. What sets it apart is multimedia: a Mali-450 GPU with HDMI and MIPI outputs for 1080p60 displays and 720p touch panels, which MediaTek described as a first for an access-point router chip, plus a broad set of interfaces including PCIe, USB 3.0, audio and an IR receiver.
