Intel Xeon W-3225

8C/16T · 4.3 GHz · 160 W

The Xeon W-3225 is an eight-core, sixteen-thread model of Intel's Xeon W-3200 (Cascade Lake-W) workstation family, launched in the second quarter of 2019. It runs at higher base and turbo clocks than the entry W-3223, reaching 4.4 GHz on its favoured cores with Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0, which suits lightly threaded design and CAD applications on a six-channel ECC memory platform.

Notes
The Xeon W-3200 series is not included in Microsoft's supported-processor lists for Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2, and 26H2 keeps the same requirements, so Windows 10 is the newest Windows release that is supported. Current Linux distributions install and run normally on this workstation platform; ChromeOS is not applicable and macOS is tracked for Apple-designed cores only.
