Intel Xeon Silver 4309Y

8C/16T · 3.6 GHz · 105 W

An 8-core, 16-thread Xeon Silver from the third-generation Xeon Scalable (Ice Lake-SP) family, launched in April 2021 as an entry model with high per-core clocks for dual-socket servers. The Y suffix marks support for Intel Speed Select Technology - Performance Profile 2.0, which lets all eight cores run at 2.8 GHz in 105 W, 2.6 GHz in 95 W or 2.3 GHz in 85 W. It turbos up to 3.6 GHz, with 12 MB of L3 cache, two UPI links, eight channels of DDR4-2667 memory and 64 lanes of PCIe 4.0.

Notes
Microsoft lists the 3rd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable family in the supported-processor lists for Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2 and for Windows 10 22H2; Microsoft has not published a separate 26H2 list, and the 25H2 entries still apply. Windows 11 additionally requires TPM 2.0 and UEFI Secure Boot on the platform. Server deployments normally run Windows Server or an enterprise Linux distribution.
