The Xeon Phi 7290F is the fabric-integrated version of the flagship 72-core Xeon Phi 7290, the top model of the second-generation Knights Landing family for high-performance computing clusters, added in late 2016. The F suffix marks the version with Intel Omni-Path Architecture fabric integrated on the package, which lets cluster nodes connect without a separate network card; the fabric takes most of the processor's PCI Express connectivity, leaving four external lanes, and adds 15 W to the TDP.
