Intel Xeon Max 9462

32C/64T · 3.5 GHz · 350 W

The Xeon CPU Max 9462 is the 32-core, 64-thread entry point of Intel's Xeon CPU Max Series, which places 64 GB of HBM2e on the processor package next to the Sapphire Rapids compute tiles. The HBM can serve as the only system memory, as a cache in front of DDR5, or as a separate flat memory region. With the series' highest 2.7 GHz base clock, a 3.5 GHz turbo and 75 MB of L3 cache, it offers the most bandwidth per core in the line-up for two-socket HPC servers.

Notes
The Xeon CPU Max Series is not on Microsoft's supported-processor lists for Windows 11 24H2 or 25H2 (Microsoft has not published a separate 26H2 list), nor on the Windows 10 22H2 list. These HPC processors normally run Linux, and Sapphire Rapids, including its HBM modes, is supported by mainstream Linux distributions.
