Intel Xeon Gold 5403N

12C/24T · 3.9 GHz · 115 W

The Xeon Gold 5403N is the entry model of Intel's 4th Gen Xeon Scalable processors with Intel vRAN Boost (Sapphire Rapids Edge Enhanced), a single-socket line built for 5G virtualized RAN and other network edge servers. Introduced in late 2023, it pairs 12 cores with an integrated vRAN Boost accelerator that offloads 4G/5G layer-1 forward error correction from the cores, removing the need for a separate accelerator card, and it includes a Data Streaming Accelerator engine and Intel Speed Select support.

Notes
Microsoft lists 4th Generation Xeon Scalable processors as supported for Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 25H2; Microsoft has not published a separate list for 26H2, so the 25H2 status is carried over. The Windows 10 22H2 list stops at 3rd Generation Xeon Scalable. Server deployments typically run Windows Server or enterprise Linux; Sapphire Rapids is supported by mainstream Linux distributions.
